Class: singer
Singer, songwriter, and all around entertainer, Phillip Aundreas was born in Nashville, Tennessee October 1, 1993. Since the age of four he discovered his love for music but did not begin to really pursue it until the age of 12, when he discovered his love for music. Phillip was first noticed by, Aaron Fletcher who at the time was a local solo artist. He started out as one of Aaron’s backup dancers, but when that didn’t work out, the two decided to join forces and form the group Melodic. The group started out with Phillip, Aaron, and Pillar. As the group started out, things were rocky. There were differences and one of the members, Pillar, was removed from the group and later on after Phillip sang and convinced him to join, Brandon Garner, was named one of the new members of Melodic. Now Melodic was established and the group was determined to become the best R & B/Pop group out of Nashville. The group went through some hard times trying to find a reliable manager. Then they came across Gina Owens, manager of former group KEP Infinity. With Gina they did many things like open up for R&B star Sammie at Nashville Shores and played at various venues around Nashville. Over time, the group’s relationship with manager Gina grew dimmer and they parted ways.
Melodic then began to take on this journey alone. They went on a very short break, but then came back and took complete control of their journey. “We felt as though we were unstoppable and NOTHING could tear us apart, “ said Phillip. As time went by, the group began to climb higher and higher up the latter to success. They were doing show after show, spending hours and days rehearsing to perfect their craft. The group even got the opportunity to perform at the Sweet Auburn Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. With all the success, also came the hardships. Differences began to arise over time and feelings started changing. No longer were things being seen the same way. “ I felt as though it started to feel like a job and not a career. It just wasn’t fun anymore,” said Phillip. At this point in January of 2011 Phillip decided to separate himself from the group and embark on his own solo project.
Phillip was then approached by, Terrance Robinson manager of the local Hip-Hop group The Radikalz, with the opportunity to become a solo R&B artist. The change was very difficult for Phillip because he was joining forces with a group that was established and already successful. Over time they mutually decided to part ways. Now more driven than ever, Phillip then became Phillip Aundreas. Reunited with former manager Gina Owens Phillip has taken off on his quest to dominate the Pop/R&B world. Influenced by artist such as Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Beyonce Knowles, Tevin Campbell, and Bruno Mars, Phillip is determined to capture and emulate the stage presence and work ethic of each of these great performers and become one of the greats himself. “ I appreciate all the help that I received from my previous endeavors and wouldn’t be where I am without them, but I want to show the world that I’m more eager to get out there and share my gift with the world and that I can make it on my own.” – Phillip Aundreas.
