Belton, SC
Class: Rapper
The music group, N.B.H. consists of two band members, Young Russell and Young Cease. Both natives of Belton, S.C., a small town which is quickly overlooked, but soon to be a headliner state if left up to these two starving and determined artists. The group name N.B.H. was birthed when the two artists realized what they both did the best and what they had in common, “Hustling”. Being that both knew how to legitimately prophesize a profit, it was naturally said that they were both “Hustlers”. The group N.B.H. arose from the dirt like a phoenix to lyrically bless the rap game in late 2007. What started out as some slick talking wordplay through a cell phone, later turned out to build today’s new era of music delivered by group N.B.H. (Natural Born Hustlers). Reciting puchlines to each other over industry beats proved that it was not a fluke and that they both had some lyrical content running through their veins. Shortly after a couple of ear grabbing songs, N.B.H. pursued their first mix tape venture entitled “Welcome 2 Da Circle”. The response from this first mixtape was astounding and both mc’s later found themselves in front of the microphone continuously polishing their own unique styles over numerous preying beats. After receiving good feedback on the mixtape and demand for original music, it was then decided that N.B.H. would pursue their first LP which is titled “New Era” which hit stores and streets on May 16, 2009. "New Era" was a statement from N.B.H. stating that they brought a different sound of music, which clearly sets them apart from the continuously simplistic music heard today. Influenced by great artists such as : Tupac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Pastor Troy, Young Jeezy, T.I., Big L, LL Cool J, Rick Ross, Kanye West, David Banner, Blood Raw just to name a few. After releasing the album "New Era" and getting great feed back from fans, the momentum only increased with more career highlights. 107.3 JAMZ, a local radio station booked N.B.H. for one of their largest, annual events, "The Black Family Reunion" where they opened up for several major artists in front of 1000's. N.B.H.'s readiness for stardom was magnified after receiving positive feedback from fans and critics calling into the radio station to commend on a great performance. In September of 2009, the group was invited to New York City for 106&Park;on BET. This was huge step for N.B.H. being from a small town "Belton, SC". This accomplishment was a major footstep for both N.B.H. and other artists from their community stating that the unthinkable can be done.
