Israel "Avarice" Butler is a Junior Communications Major at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Currently the Editor-in-Chief of the campus' newspaper, Butler is also an aspiring hip-hop artist. Alongside fellow classmate Zachary "Dr. Ill" Armstrong who recently established his own recording label Ill-Legit records equipped with a top-notch quality studio, Butler and his label mates are able to turn their dreams into goals. His music pertains to his own personal morals, values, and upbringing. Since South Carolina has yet to hit it big in the entertainment industry, Butler's ambition is to become one of the leading pioneers in the state's hip-hop movement.
